What is DLT & Why Does it Matter?
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a block-chain based registration system introduced by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) under the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), 2018.
The primary objective is to curb Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC) and protect consumer privacy. While WhatsApp operates as an OTT (Over-The-Top) platform, TRAI guidelines increasingly influence how business identities are verified and how fallback SMS mechanisms are executed.

Does WhatsApp require DLT? Directly, no. WhatsApp Business API uses Meta’s internal template whitelisting system. However, BulkWhatsappInore integrates DLT workflows for two reasons:

What documents are needed for DLT registration?
You need your Company PAN, GST Certificate, Letter of Authorization (LOA) signed by the director, and Identity Proof of the authorized person.
What is Header/Sender ID scrubbing?
